My wedding photography is largely unobtrusive, natural, a little bit quirky and ‘documentary style’. Although I’ll give a little direction here and there throughout the day (to grab the odd group shot of family and friends, or to capture a few awesome portraits of just the two of you), I believe the best images are the ones that tell the true story of your day as it unfolds. My mission is to collect and preserve those little moments; the laughter, interlocked fingers, proud smiles, dancing… Every couple and every wedding is different, and it’s by capturing what makes you, your friends and your family unique that I can really tell your story. I truly LOVE weddings so there’s no clock-watching – my ‘all day’ coverage really does mean all day. I like to stay pretty late into the evening to get some kick-ass photos of all the action on the dancefloor – your wedding story wouldn’t be complete without it!
Getting to know you and all your lovely wedding plans beforehand is important to me, and of course you’ll want to meet me too! In addition to meeting for a coffee/vino and wedding chat, I offer all my couples a free Engagement Shoot. This is a great opportunity to celebrate your engagement and to slow down and enjoy the run-up to the big day. Not everyone feels naturally at ease in front of a lens, so this little practice run is really useful for the camera-shy!
I’m based in Kent but love to travel, either within the UK or overseas if you are planning a destination wedding. I used to live in Spain and still visit regularly to photograph weddings, but will happily venture even further afield to capture your big day. France is also a big favourite – living in Folkestone means I’m just a few minutes from both the Channel Tunnel crossing and the Eurostar terminal so France and mainland Europe are within easy reach!
