Baby Jasmine | Newborn Photography in Hammersmith, London

I have some gorgeous Newborn Photography in Hammersmith from last May to share with you today! Mum Beatrice got in touch with me to take some lovely natural photos of her and Dad Sami’s newborn baby girl Jasmine and very proud older brother Adam, aged 3.

At-Home Newborn Photography in Hammersmith

As always, I recommended the session take place inside their home – a beautiful flat right overlooking the water in Hammersmith. Unusually this was an evening session (totally possible in the lighter summer months!) and Beatrice, Jasmine and I headed outdoors after the session for a few extra pics by the water in that gorgeous golden evening light.

Adam was super cute with his baby sister, but also made sure my attention was as much with him as with Jasmine! I find kids around this age are really easy to engage with on a photo session. I asked Adam to show me his favourite toys which he just loved, plus a quick game of hide and seek under the pillows in the bedroom made for some gorgeous photos!

When To Book Your London Newborn Photo Session

I recommend getting in touch well before your due date to ensure my availability for your Newborn Photo Session. Having said that, I can usually find weekday availability at fairly short notice if required. This past year has certainly tested that, with all the last minute jumps in and out of lockdown and various ‘tiers’!

I find the sweet spot in terms of timing for a Newborn Photo Session is around 10 days. You’ll want me to capture those gorgeous photos of baby whilst they’re still tiny, but I want you to be feeling as recovered as possible whether you’ve experienced a vaginal birth or a C-section.

My blog post What Is The Best Age For A Newborn Shoot? delves more into various options with timing your newborn session, and you can find example photos there of babies who were photographed much later than the ‘recommended’ time.
