Day In The Life Photography | Whitstable Documentary Photographer

So I just realised I hadn’t yet properly blogged this Day In The Life family photo shoot from over 4 years ago! An absolute travesty as this was the first Day In The Life photo shoot I ever did, and still one of my absolute faves. Whitstable Day in the Life Shoot

I spent a lovely Sunday with the fabulous Andrews family, capturing everything from pre-breakfast jumping on the bed, to bedtime stories. We had a great time chasing waves on the beach, drinking hot chocolate in the fabulous Windy Corner Stores , going reeeeally fast on the roundabout and tucking into Dad James’ Yorkshire puddings (impressive). I also got to learn about all things Doctor Who thanks to Sam.. :)

What is Day in the Life Photography?

‘Day in the Life’ is a documentary style record of your everyday life. I’m not quite a ‘fly on the wall’, it’s more like having a friend hanging out with you for the day who happens to have a camera with them! Taking my ‘no posing, no cheese’ philosophy a stage further – these shoots are real, honest, and the perfect way to capture your family’s true character.

What happens on a Day in the Life Shoot?

These ‘absolutely all day’ photo sessions can be whatever you want them to be. I can be there from when your kids wake up in the morning (it’s ok, I’m used to 6am starts!) or start a little later in the day and capture the bedtime routine. What you get up to is your call – play games, go for a walk, bake cakes or laze around in your PJs all day! ;) . I’ll be there, very much in the background, to capture everything as it happens. With little to no direction, this really is a no-stress family photo shoot experience like no other. Day in the Life Photography allows you to relax and enjoy some family time, but with the bonus of capturing some ever-lasting images of you and your loved ones.
