One of my favourite photo shoots of 2017 is on the blog today! Although currently based in Kent, I’m also a Surrey Family Photographer and travelled to Godstone to take these family portrait photographs for Sarah, Tim and baby Cora. Sarah and Tim are friends of my brother and sister-in-law, so I’ve met them a few times over the years, but this was the first time I had the pleasure of meeting their new arrival! Cora was an absolute joy to photograph. So full of smiles which of course made my job super easy! Their dog Howard was keen to get involved too and almost stole the show.. ;)

A Baby Photo Session at Home

The best place for your baby photo session is invariably in your own home. I use only beautiful natural light rather than flash in my baby and family photography. A light room with good sized windows or french doors works really well. Having said that I’ve worked in homes of all shapes and sizes, from cosy cottages to modern flats, and am very experienced in making the most of the natural light available. When I arrive at your home I’ll have a quick look around the most suitable rooms available, to ensure we pick the best spots for the photos.

As a Surrey Family Photographer I find my clients love having their baby photo sessions at home. The photographs are especially treasured and personal, and the whole experience is designed to be relaxed and enjoyable. Above all, the entire session is baby-led – there is plenty of time allowed for nappy-changing, feeding, cups of tea etc. and you are welcome to arrange the session around your baby’s usual nap times.

Family and Baby Photo Sessions are £100 on weekdays and £150 at weekends. My weekend dates usually get booked up pretty far in advance, so get in touch as soon as you can if you’d like to book me for a weekend date!
