A beautiful London Maternity Photo Shoot on the blog for you today! This one took place way back in that super hot summer we just had (which feels like forever ago..). I’ve since photographed the lovely Wibke and Alexis two more times, with their gorgeous new baby girl :)

South Kensington Maternity Photography

Wibke’s maternity shoot took place in and around her and Alexis’ South Kensington home. They are lucky enough that alongside their gorgeous flat they have access to the most beautiful gardens. The gardens are filled with stunning flowers that were in full bloom in time for our London maternity photo shoot.

Natural Maternity Photography in West London

My maternity photography is really relaxed and natural. There’s absolutely no pressure on either the woman or her partner to pose or say “cheese”! I pretty much hate having my photograph taken myself, so I can totally sympathise with those who dread the whole experience! I think it’s so wonderful to have photos taken when you’re pregnant though, if nothing else for your baby to look back on when they’re older. Also – and I’m sure lots 0f you will agree – you really do miss your bump once it’s gone! I really regret not having a photo shoot when I was pregnant with my daughter all those years ago (I wasn’t a photographer back then, so it never really occurred to me!).

Book a London Maternity Photo Shoot

I photograph pregnant couples all over the UK, but mostly in London and the South East. Do get in touch if you’d like to arrange your own maternity photo shoot. The optimum time for a maternity photo shoot is around 30-36 weeks. I recommend not leaving it too near to your due date for obvious reasons – a maternity shoot doesn’t work quite as well if baby has decided to make an early appearance beforehand ;)

I offer a few options for booking your maternity photo shoot – perhaps alongside a newborn photo shoot once little one arrives, and/or a further photo shoot when they’re 6 months or a year old. Pre-booking multiple photo shoots in advance means lots of lovely print credit – as a gift from me – to spend on your finished photos!
