Family photos in Notting Hill, London

These beautiful family photos taken in Notting Hill, London are from the very first of my Christmas Mini Shoots. I run Mini Shoots only twice a year – in the Spring and in the run up to Christmas. These shorter, ‘mini’ versions of my regular family photo sessions are always really popular with families wanting to supplement their annual full photo session with me with a quicker mini one! Mini shoots are ideal for capturing the family at a contrasting time of year to the main shoot. Or of course if kids are at an age where they’re growing so quickly that one family photo shoot per year just isn’t enough to capture all those changes!

Family photography at home and outdoors

The lovely Werner family are lucky enough to have a beautiful garden right next to their building, so we were able to get some gorgeous shots of the kids and the whole family outdoors as well as at home. I love photographing children in their home environment (and, as many of you will have gathered by now, beautiful window light is my absolute fave!), but sometimes it’s just great to be able to head outdoors and blow away those cobwebs! At this time of year, the light is usually just perfect all day long (until it gets dark of course!). This was also the perfect time of year to capture some lovely autumnal colour.
