I had so much fun doing this Day In The Life Photo Shoot with the Laughlin-Hyde family. Justin & Paul’s gorgeous little twin girls Mimifono and Harper were around 6 months old when we did the shoot – such a cute age! This photo shoot was so relaxed and fun – add two cockapoos into the mix and this was pretty much my dream photo shoot ;)
This was a 4 hour (half day) Day In The Life Photo Shoot – a documentary style session which involves me just hanging out with the family (either for a half day or a full day), just as a good friend would, and snapping away to capture all those beautiful authentic real-life moments. My day with the Laughlin-Hyde family started with breakfast before a trip out on the train to central London and Tower Bridge. We finished the session by returning home just in time for lunch and nap time for the girls!
Day In The Life Photo Shoot | My Approach
My approach to shooting a Day In The Life Photo Shoot means capturing all the mess, tantrums and less than glamorous reality of daily family life, too! These authentic, documentary style family photos are filled with emotion, energy and ooze realness – they’re so much more valuable to my clients (and to their children as they get older..) than staged shots in the park in matching outfits!
As a bonus, there’s absolutely no posing or saying “cheese!” required. When I say you can just relax and enjoy spending time together as a family and leave the creative photo-taking magic to me, I really do mean it! There’s no need to worry about what to wear, how we spend our time on the day (chilling at home or a big family day out both work well!), how tidy the house looks, etc etc..
Here are some of my favourites from this Day In The Life Photo Shoot with Justin, Paul and their twin baby girls ❤️.

After your shoot, there are lots of options to choose from to display, preserve and enjoy all your beautiful images from the shoot. Most of my Day In The Life Photo Shoot families choose to purchase the digital files plus either a Photo Book or Fine Art Album. We can go through the options during your Discovery Call, and I’ll send you my Product & Pricing Guide too. Once you’ve viewed your finished, beautifully edited images from your shoot you can decide what’s going to suit you and your family best!
During periods of lockdown I am unfortunately unable to do photo shoots, however it’s always worth booking a later date in advance as I’m likely to suddenly get very busy once restrictions are eased.
Do let me know what you think of the idea of a Day In The Life photo shoot! Would you consider this kind of photo shoot to capture your family memories for the future?
