Creative Folkestone Photo Shoot – Kent Family Photographer

A lovely family shoot on the blog for you today – here’s the wonderful Jo, Darren, Herbie and Huxley! This was such a fun family photo shoot and we managed to cram in so many of Folkestone’s multitude of cool locations, from Sunny Sands beach to the harbour and then finally up into town (with a break for a Googie’s burger and milkshake of course!). I live in Folkestone myself but as a Kent family photographer (actually covering all of Kent and London) I don’t get to shoot in my home town all that often. I have to admit it’s one of my absolute favourite locations for family photography. There’s just so much variety and some awesome backdrops to be had. I have a real soft spot for the place.

My approach as a Kent family photographer is very relaxed – we choose the location for the shoot together and then all you have to do is turn up. There’s no need to dress a certain way (in fact, please don’t wear matching outfits!) or to brief the kids on their behaviour or bribe them to ‘say cheese’! I’d much rather capture you and your family just as you are, without putting you into cheesy poses or making you look like anything other than your true, beautiful selves.
