Family Photographer Ashford, Kent

The lovely Finn family are up on the blog today! As a Family Photographer Ashford, Kent, I love to work both in the great outdoors (fab for kids once they’re walking) and in my client’s homes (better for babies, particularly under the age of around 6 months). This one had the best of both worlds. We started off at home, capturing some shots of new arrival baby Jessica and proud (and hilarious!) big brother Jacob, before heading out to some local woodland (between Ashford and Wye) for a few lovely outdoor family photographs of the whole family.

My approach to photography with kids and babies is super relaxed – there’s absolutely no pressure for children to ‘perform’ or say “cheese!” on cue (in fact it’s strictly prohibited! ;)). I much prefer to capture kids’ true personalities, exactly how you want to remember their childhood in years to come.
