I’ve always felt so lucky to be able to travel abroad for work and photographing families all over Europe. I’m now super chuffed to be able to add beautiful Milan as one of the cities I’ll be frequenting often for family shoots.

This lovely family made me so welcome at their home, and were a dream to photograph! I loved that mum Claire’s suggestion for the shoot was that we hang out in the apartment, just doing what they’d usually do as a family at the weekend. She told me, “We spend most weekend mornings at home playing cars, building Legos, drawing, dancing, playing dinosaurs, cuddling with Ollie and laughing at all the funny and imaginative things Henrik has to say.” And that’s exactly what they did, whilst I just snapped away!

I know that Claire and husband Simon really appreciate having a little slice of their daily life captured in photographs forever, to look back on for years to come. I got to meet their newest arrival baby Ollie, who was just adorable, and  snapped a few gorgeous shots of the two boys together. Henrik is one of the proudest big brothers I’ve ever met. He also makes the *best* train tracks with his Brio set, and loves playing with the hose and bucket out on the terrace. <3

Milan Family Photo Shoots

If you live in Milan and are interested in having me photograph your family on my next visit, then do get in touch to find out my upcoming available dates. I don’t photograph more than three families per trip (must leave time for a spot of shopping and eating ALL the Italian food..) so make sure you reach out in plenty of time. I aim to have weekend dates available once every 6-8 weeks or so.

Relaxed and natural family photography in Milan

My photography is relaxed, natural and child-led, meaning no expectation on kids to ‘behave’ or perform in any way! There’s no requirement to pose or say “cheese!”, either ;) The result is gorgeous, natural photographs of all the family that capture each individual’s true character as well as the beautiful connection between you all. You can choose to have your photo session in your own home as this family did, or we can head outdoors and use the city or a local park as our backdrop.
