Here’s the long-awaited info on my London Christmas Mini Photo Shoots for 2020!

So, so many of you are keen to get some gorgeous pics of the family ready to print and give as Christmas presents, and I love that! Also for that all important Christmas card of course ;)

With half the year already spent in lockdown, I’m so grateful to be able to currently shoot photo sessions outdoors. There will however be a limit of 5 people per family for photo session bookings, to keep us within the ‘rule of 6’.

My Christmas Mini Shoots are priced at £55 and include:

• 20 minute photo session at home or in an outdoor location of your choice
• Viewing gallery of 20 beautifully edited images
• One high res digital file (to print and share as you wish!) of your favourite image
• 25% discount on orders of 30+ Christmas cards
• Additional digital files and prints can be purchased

What to wear for your Christmas Mini Shoot in London

Anything goes! Read my article here for my thoughts on matching outfits (to sum up – totally unnecessary, but if you dig that kind of thing then please go ahead, and if you can’t at Christmas then when can you eh?!). Layers work well with our crazy British weather (18c degrees in December for one of my Christmas minis in 2017..), especially for kids (and me!) who can actually get quite hot once we’ve been running around for a while. Chunky knits, woolly hats and scarves do look cute for pics though!

What can we expect from our London Christmas Mini Shoot?

The beautiful family photos below were taken in Notting Hill on one of my Christmas Mini Shoots. I run Mini Shoots only a few times a year – usually in the Spring and in the run up to Christmas. These shorter, ‘mini’ versions of my regular family photo sessions are always really popular with families wanting to supplement their annual full photo session with me with a quicker mini one! Shoots are really relaxed and fun with minimal posing required and no saying ‘Cheese!’ for the camera. I work in a candid, documentary style meaning natural expressions all round as opposed to forced smiles.

I love doing Christmas Mini photo shoots with little ones in their home environment, but this year we’re sticking to outside only. At this time of year, the light is usually just perfect all day long (until it gets dark – ridiculously early – of course..). This is the perfect time of year to capture some lovely autumnal colour, and that gorgeous golden light!

What happens after the shoot?

You’ll want to get your mitts on your finished photos as soon as possible, so I apply an extra quick turnaround time for editing my Christmas Mini Shoots. I’ll pick the best photos from the day, edit them in colour and black and white (usually a 60/40% mix of each) and upload them to a lovely photo viewing gallery within just 3 days of your photo shoot. Prints and cards arrive with you within 5 working days of ordering them and digital files are delivered to you immediately, leaving you plenty of time to get those cards and pressies ready!
