So, Lockdown II comes into effect tomorrow, and the jury is out as to whether Outdoor Mini Photo Shoots in London should be allowed to continue this November. It’s a bit of a grey area – and so the subject of debate in many online photography groups! – and it seems to be open for interpretation. Many photographers are choosing to go ahead with Outdoor Mini Photo Shoots this winter, and others have moved their Mini Session dates to early December.
With booking closing soon for my own Mini Sessions (I have just a few spaces left!), I thought I’d give you my roundup of some of the best family photographers offering Outdoor Mini Photo Shoots in London.
Lockdown Guidance for Family Photo Shoots
Myself and many other London Family Photographers have interpreted the official ‘lockdown no.2’ guidance as follows:
1). Families are allowed outdoors for recreational activities, and to visit outdoor spaces including parks and playgrounds, for as long as and as often as they like (no it’s not just for exercise this time!).
2). Meeting outdoors socially is allowed, and you should continue to go to work if you cannot work from home.
I have also taken into consideration the unanimous feedback from the families I had already booked in for Outdoor Mini Photo Shoots in London (they have all opted to go ahead rather than reschedule). Along with many other London family photographers, I’ve decided to continue offering London Mini Photo Sessions for families – of five people or less – outdoors this winter. If you prefer to wait until we’re out of lockdown no. 2, you’ll find some photographers on this list offering sessions in December.
Covid-Safe Photo Sessions in London
Reputable London Family Photographers are able to continue to work in a covid-safe way after introducing new measures following the first lockdown. All sessions take place socially distanced (2m +), outdoors, and with 6 people or less (including the photographer).
